PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Tenda TEF1210P-8-150W is a 10 port PoE (Power over Ethernet) network switch with 8x 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports, 2x 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 Gigabit ports and 2x 1000Base-X SFP combo ports. The first 8 ports (1-8) are IEEE 802.3af PoE (15.4w) and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ (30w) compliant and in total, this switch can provide 123w of PoE output. When using Cat5 twisted pair cabling, the TEF1210P-8-150W can provide data and power for Access Points, IP cameras, IP phones and other PoE devices. When using Cat5e however and enabling extended mode, the transmission distance of the data and power can reach up to 250 meters. Additionally, this switch also supports QVLAN, link aggression, QoS, MAC binding etc, which can help to reduce network deployment costs, time and energy. Due to the various applications for POE there is often a requirement to run cables further then the recommended 100m. This is a common problem for CCTV and WIFI installations where the nodes are distributed throughout a larger building. The Tenda TEF12 series PoE monitoring switches adopt an exclusive patented network extension technology, utilising standard twisted pair cable, it can support 250 metres of data and power transmission. Reliability and Security The TEF1210P-8-150W features PSE short-circuiting protection, PoE overloading, power over temperature, over voltage and surge current protection.
