PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Planet IGS-1020TF is a heavy-duty managed 8 port Gigabit switch with a rugged IP30 aluminium case for use in heavy industrial demanding environments. It features 8 x 10/100/1000Mbps copper ports, 2 additional 100/1000X SFP ports and 2 extra 100/1000BASE-X SFP fiber optic interfaces. The IGS-1020TF is an ideal solution for deploying surveillance system, secure control and wireless service in climatically demanding environments with wide temperature range from -40 to 75 degrees C. Fibre Optic Link Capability The IGS-1020TF features 2 mini-GBIC slots which allow the distance to be extended from 55 Metres to 2 Kilometres. Aoto detection is supported along with dual speed, allowing the administrator to choose the most suitable transceiver according to the distance or transmission speed required. Environmentally Hardened Design The IGS-1020TF features a IP30 rated metal case which provides a high level of protection against electromagnetic interference and heavy electrical surges that can be found on factory floors and curbside traffic control cabinets. This also allows it to operate under temperature ranging from -40° to 75° C, making it suitable for almost any commercial application. Dual Power Input The dual power input system allows for both 12V~48V DC or 24V AC voltages to enhance system reliability and uptime. If power supply 1 fails to work, the hardware failover function will kick in and automatically draw power from the 2nd supply, which keeps the IGS-1020TF running without any loss of operation. Energy Saving The IGS-1020TF is able to provide power saving up to 50% by incorporating advanced green networking technology and IEEE 802.3az protocols. The Link Down power saving goes beyond IEEE specifications to automatically lower power consumption for a given port when it is not linked. Power usage to the ports can be automatically adjusted when they are shut down or not connected.
