PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Vigil metal fire bucket with lid is the perfect container for storing fire sand or Flamezorb, which you’ll often see on garage forecourts and car parks. Hard to miss thanks to its bright red colour and is clearly labelled ‘Fire’ on the front, it features a handle for easy transportation and – unlike many others available – is supplied with a lid as standard and not an optional extra. The original method of extinguishing fire for centuries, you could still fill fire buckets with water, pass along a line and dump on fire. However, these days they’re more commonly used to store sand and other absorbent materials which can either be used to clean up a fuel spill, to starve a fire of oxygen or even to stub out cigarette ends. The lid ensures the contents are kept dry so it’s always ready to go in an emergency. Manufactured for Vigil Products, the metal fire bucket is galvanised for corrosion resistance and has a 10-litre capacity. You’ll often find these red fire buckets on forecourts, garages, caravan parks, and railway stations, and are kept in generator rooms, hyperbaric chambers and recommended for next to barbeques too. Suitable for keeping on the floor near the fire risk, fire bucket brackets are available separately for wall-hanging, or can be stored on the bottom of most of our fire extinguisher trolleys. One bag of fire sand or Flamezorb will fill the Vigil metal fire bucket with lid.
