Powercap® Active™ IP incorporates bump cap head protection and impact faceshield with high protection against flying particles. High efficiency sub-micron particulate filters with high impact polystyrene front & backs with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) impeller. Powered air protection to EN12941+A2 TH1P gives a cooling, comfortable supply of filtered air at 160L/Min eliminating breathing resistance and visor misting. Equivalent to FFP2. APF=10. Light industry machining would cover trades such as woodworking, carpentry and joinery, etc. Although machine tooling on these applications may be completely fine, it will not work the same way when using machine tooling on MDF. – MDF generates formaldehyde when worked on with high powered tools and therefore it requires a combination of AB (organic and inorganic vapours) filters. The PowerCap Active IP does only have a P (particulate) filter option and therefore making the unit unsuitable for the use of machine tooling with MDF. The cap uses JSP Hardcap A1+™ bump cap technology, exceeding the A1 version of EN812, easily removable and machine washable for hygiene purposes thanks to the patented connection mechanism of the cap and visor. Impact eye & face protection to EN166 1B, ideal for working in environments with a danger of flying particles. The polycarbonate faceshield protects the user from medium energy, high speed particles, dust and liquid droplets. Each battery lasts 8 hours, one can be charged whilst the other is in use.
